So a friend told me about this game months ago because it was one of the first things he installed on my new phone. To say that I was amused with how it looks would be an understatment, but I had forgot entirely about it until some days ago where while hanging out with him, I remembered the game and installed it on my phone. What can I say about it? Well...

...I don't think there's much to say about it. The dumb stuff that you see right now is all what you get.

If you really need me to explain the gameplay outside of the footage, its basically in the same vein as an endless runner like Subway Surfers or Temple Run (though with an optional "level" mode) where you dodge obstacles going left or right...and that's actually all you're limited to here. The only thing that can change is basically eating a Starman from too many bananas and literally run over anything without any penalty, since hitting a beam, chicken or pig ends your run (though I think you can hit ONE pig without dying, but hitting another one after that does kill you).

If there's a semblance of entertainment from this game, its basically on the absurd concept and presentation. Anyone that has ever heard of this game before probably did so from some random advertisement (which is what I heard was the way some people heard of it)...but while I don't know how my friend found this game, he showed it to me and that was enough to convince me to at least try for a bit the dumb game. Dancing gorillas at the title screen, the flying gorilla not being clickbait, and running through stuff while powered up with rock music.

Even if you can get some kicks out of the jokes and maybe even see how long you can last when going at fullspeed in the endless mode, the best way I can describe this game is "the game you play on the toilet"...because you see the video above? The title nor the description aren't hyperbole; I actually played and recorded that while on the toilet 😂

But I guess that just having some dumb fun laughs with your brain off is always good (though specially better if you have some friends to pass this around or at least react, as I had the first times I played it and wowed them with how much I lasted despite the speed), and that's pretty much what Flying Gorilla wanted to be after all. Not a fan of occasional advertising or monetization in-game for cosmetics...but its a modern mobile game, there's nothing you can't do about that at this point and at least for just playing the stupid game, the ads only show up occasionally between attempts, while the monetization has nothing to do with actually playing it.

Don't ask me why the game's name shows up as Flecha Gorila in my footage though (also again, because of the nature of the game, I didn't think that adding more screenshots outside of the video was necessary because...seriously lol); it isn't called that on the Play Store yet it does that on my phone 🙃

Pues un amigo me habló de este juego hace meses porque fue una de las primeras cosas que instaló en mi nuevo teléfono. Decir que me hizo gracia su aspecto sería quedarse corto, pero lo había olvidado por completo hasta que hace unos días, estando con él, me acordé del juego y lo instalé en mi teléfono. ¿Qué puedo decir de él? Pues que...

...no creo que haya mucho que decir al respecto. Las tonterías que veis ahora mismo es todo lo que hay.

Si realmente necesitas que te explique el modo de juego fuera de las imágenes, es básicamente lo mismo que un endless runner como Subway Surfers o Temple Run (aunque con un modo "nivel" opcional) en el que esquivas obstáculos yendo a la izquierda o a la derecha... y eso es en realidad todo lo que se limita aquí. Lo único que puede cambiar es, básicamente, comerte un Starman de demasiados plátanos y, literalmente, pasar por encima de cualquier cosa sin ninguna penalización, ya que golpear una viga, un pollo o un cerdo termina tu carrera (aunque creo que puedes golpear UN cerdo sin morir, pero golpear otro después sí te mata).

Si hay una apariencia de entretenimiento de este juego, es básicamente en el concepto absurdo y la presentación. Cualquiera que haya oído hablar de este juego antes probablemente lo hizo por algún anuncio al azar (que es lo que he oído que era la forma en que algunas personas se enteraron de él)... pero aunque no sé cómo mi amigo encontró este juego, me lo mostró y eso fue suficiente para convencerme de que al menos probara un poco el juego tonto. Gorilas bailando en la pantalla del título, el gorila volador no siendo clickbait, y corriendo a través de cosas mientras se potencia con música rock.

Aunque te puedas divertir con los chistes y quizás incluso ver cuánto puedes durar yendo a toda velocidad en el modo infinito, la mejor forma en que puedo describir este juego es "el juego al que juegas en el retrete"... porque ¿ves el vídeo de arriba? Ni el título ni la descripción son hipérboles; realmente jugué y grabé eso mientras estaba en el retrete 😂.

Pero supongo que echarse unas risas tontas y divertidas con el cerebro apagado siempre es bueno (aunque especialmente mejor si tienes algunos amigos que te pasen esto o al menos reaccionen, como me pasó a mí las primeras veces que lo jugué y les asombré con lo mucho que duré a pesar de la velocidad), y eso es más o menos lo que quería ser Flying Gorilla después de todo. No soy fan de la publicidad ocasional o de la monetización en el juego para los cosméticos... pero es un juego moderno para móviles, no hay nada que no se pueda hacer al respecto a estas alturas y al menos para jugar al estúpido juego, los anuncios sólo aparecen ocasionalmente entre los intentos, mientras que la monetización no tiene nada que ver con el juego en sí.

No me preguntes por qué el nombre del juego aparece como Flecha Gorila en mis imágenes (también, de nuevo, debido a la naturaleza del juego, no pensé que añadir más capturas de pantalla fuera del vídeo era necesario porque... en serio lol); no se llama así en la Play Store sin embargo lo hace en mi teléfono 🙃
