Well Monday was a bit rough for the Sixers. They lost to the Nuggets who were without their biggest stars in Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray, while the Sixers were actually very healthy with Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Paul George all playing. Tough look for sure. It was a competitive game, don't get me wrong, as they lost by just one point in overtime but...meh.

Hilariously, I was wondering about Kelly Oubre Jr. and as I looked him up, it turns out he is making his first appearance since November 14th tonight! He is one of the more talented players on the Sixers, and his return helps in a big way. He is extremely well rounded with good effort on defense and offers valuable size standing at 6'8". He eats a ton of minutes and just makes the team a lot deeper as he can cover multiple positions. Oubre Jr. is averaging 16.8 points per game in the 12 games he has played in 2025-26, well above his career average. This is Oubre Jr.'s eleventh season in the NBA and he has career averages of:

• 13.3 Points
• 4.6 Rebounds
• 1.1 Assists
• 1.0 Steals

Oubre Jr. has played in 667 games, starting roughly half of those games and has averaged 27.2 minutes a night throughout that time. He's quietly having a nice career and still only just turned 30 years old on December 9th.

It seems that the Big Three are playing tonight vs the Wizards. I'm curious to see how all this talent meshes. We've got a surging V.J. Edgecombe and now the trusted veteran in Oubre Jr. returning. Hopefully this is just the beginning though and this team can stay intact.

The Sixers are currently 19-15 and once again seeking their 20th win, this time it will be against the 10-25 Washington Wizards. Hopefully this is a nice bounce back victory tonight.

I feel as if this Sixers team could be slowly finding itself. This season has been interesting for sure. It's been great and surprising to see Embiid playing as much as he has too.
