A's get a solid win over the Yankees! | A's look to win series with Jacob Lopez on the mound today

FINALLY, the A's are victorious! After four straight losses and the team seemingly losing serious momentum, they came together in a big way to get a much needed win.

The 6-4 win was actually a bit more dominant than the score might suggest. The A's were in the lead the entire game. Entering the ninth inning it was a 6-1 game. The Yankees made it pretty stressful late but the A's managed to not blow it LOL.

J.T. Ginn continues to look strong on the mound! He got through six innings allowing zero runs!

Offensively, the A's woke up and that was a relief. Three A's went yard! Shea Langeliers hit his 14th, Tyler Soderstrom hit his 7th, and Nick Kurtz hit his 10th! Soderstrom and Kurtz accounted for 6 of the team's 8 hits!

Phew, that victory felt pretty good. I'm unsure how they'll do today as the shaky Jacob Lopez is on the mound for the A's but, maybe he'll surprise me!

The A's season is pretty much 36% complete with a 28-30 record now. They're in second place in the AL West, 1.5 games behind the Mariners.

The A's were off Thursday, and they'll have another off day tomorrow as well. So with these injuries, and their recent slump, at least the team has some off days to recover a bit. It will also mildly help with Aaron Civale and Luis Severino being on the 15-day IL. Less games the A's play while they're recovering is a decent silver lining.

The Spurs won, Phillies won, and A's won. Lucky me I guess LOL.
