A's get crushed by Giants, then lose in absolutely brutal fashion to Angels | Jacob Lopez on the mound today
I have no great excuse for falling behind on my posts other than just being extremely down in the dumps because ya know, life.
The A's have also been down in the dumps the past two games as they were crushed by the Giants Sunday and lost to the Angels yesterday.
But yesterday was historically, possibly iconically brutal. They lost to the division rival Angels but that's just the tip of the iceberg. J.T. Ginn had a NO HITTER for eight innings. In the ninth the A's had just a one run lead when Ginn gave up his first hit. If that wasn't bad enough, the Angels then hit the walk-off homer! History was almost made, and then was let down and then made again in a matter of moments. Unreal. I've never seen anything like it. Can't imagine how devastated Ginn must have been.
The A's offense has been bad too obviously, as they only scored two runs the past two games.
Jacob Lopez is on the mound tonight so I'm a bit nervous, he's been the shakiest pitcher in the rotation so far this season.
Short post because I gotta head out but the A's need to wake up! They're now below .500 and just haven't been sharp.
As I follow the A's again it's interesting to see them play the Angels again, brings back memories for sure.
#GOATHLECS!!!
