After scoring 19 Thursday the Phillies score 2 Friday but still get the win!

Baseball works in funny, mysterious ways sometimes! After a historical night Thursday where the Phillies scored a ridiculous 19 runs and Kyle Schwarber made history, the Phillies offense was incredibly quiet in the following game yesterday only managing to win 2-1. At first glance you'd think Ranger Suárez threw an absolute gem, but that wasn't exactly the case. He had a quality, outing at the end of the day but it was a struggle. Nevertheless him grinding through a start like this is incredibly impressive. He pitched five innings and allowed 10 hits. But the key part is he allowed only a singular run which is kind of unbelievable! So yeah a bit of an odd start but it works! Shows what a professional he really is. The bullpen came in and really shut the Braves down from there on out, and the Braves only recorded two hits the remainder of the game. Jhoan Durán who has proved to be pretty hittable in some recent outings, looked dominant in his save opportunity yesterday! Glad to see him look sharp!

The offense was sluggish yesterday but they were clutch when they needed to be as in the eighth Alec Bohm hit a sac fly driving in Kyle Schwarber to take the one run lead. Pretty awesome.

The Mets won last night and so the lead in the NL East remains at 5 but the Marlins are currently winning a tightly contested battle as I write this so GO MARLINS! It's currently 8-6 Marlins.

The Phillies ensured at least a draw this series but they can lock up this series victory tonight! It will be tough as it's going to be Chris Sale vs Cristopher Sánchez but it should be exciting!

September baseball is nearly upon is!! It's getting more real each passing day...
