Cam Ward looked solid in last preseason game + Titans 53 Man Roster is set
After Friday's victory over the Minnesota Vikings the 2025-26 preseason has come to an end for the Titans. The next time the team suits up it will be a regular season game in September! Time is simply FLYING.
Rookie QB Cam Ward indeed bounced back like I hoped he would and looked like a pro. He seemed composed and sure of himself and it was pretty encouraging. He wasn't flashy or anything but he seemed very competent which is kinda all you can ask for in a chaotic preseason enviornment.
Overall after watching him in his three preseason games Cam seems pretty ready. He didn't throw a single interception throughout the preseason, but it wasn't like he was playing overly conservative at all he just seemed poised I'd say. There was a few close calls for sure but hey, close doesn't count as I always say.
When I watch Cam in interviews, the guy seems seriously confident. I suppose that's a good thing at the end of the day and he doesn't come off as disrespectful. The guy had a great college career and was the number one overall pick, why wouldn't he be confident? Still, I'd be lying if I said his confidence while accomplishing nothing so far as a pro does make me a bit nervous. But hey, if his actions can match his words, there's going to be some seriously exciting Sundays ahead. It is refreshing to see a more bold guy leading the team. He's pretty transparent and everything and doesn't give basic answers which I respect. Apparently basketball was his first love and so, I think that makes a bit more sense in regards to his mindset and self belief. Also, it is 2025, not every player is going to come in the league as dudes from 20+ years ago. Cam also has been getting paid in college so, that brings a whole new element too. Cam seems to have the mindset of a winner, I SERIOUSLY HOPE he can prove it on the gridiron!
The Titans 53 man roster became official the other day. Cam's former teammate in wide receiver Xavier Restrepo didn't make the final 53 but was promptly signed on to the practice squad. I think Xavier and Cam could be a special duo and I'm glad the Titans managed to keep him around.
Interestingly the Titans didn't keep center/guard Corey Levin on the 53 man roster but he's also on the practice squad.
Wide receiver Mason Kinsey lives on! The guy has been on the practice sqaud for now the SIXTH season and despite regime changes and whatnot, the Titans simply can't let him go. I love to see it!! He's seriously pretty good too in my opinion. One day it would be epic to have a Kinsey jersey I swear!
Since the Titans were the worst team last year they get first dibs on waiver claims for the first few weeks of the season and they already snagged a good handful of players, mostly on defense.
Next post will very likely be a Titans @ Broncos pre-game post!!!
It's getting real!!! New Titans football era begins soon!
Nice post, you know' I watch American football at times and that's how I know that it's not as violent as people paint it to be, nice post
Yeah, the sport is pretty intense but nothing different than MMA or boxing or even rugby in my opinion. Thank you!
