Joel Embiid and Paul George look excellent in return as 76ers dominate Bulls | MASSIVE game in Charlotte vs Hornets tonight

These Sixers keep on playing with my heart I tell ya! The Sixers saw two of their three big stars return to action on Wednesday and they actually looked excellent! Joel Embiid scored 35 in just 28 minutes of action, and Paul George scored 28 in 26 minutes of action. 63 points combined. V.J. Edgecombe poured in 22 points of his own as the Sixers dropped an absurd 157 points on the Bulls in a super dominant victory.

Man, as stressed out as Embiid can make myself and Sixers fans, he is still clearly very excellent. The more I think about it, the more I realize that Joel Embiid's legacy would be boosted to a seriously high level if he were to lead the Sixers to a championship. It would be absolutely fascinating. The chronically injured but great player, leading his team to greatness when he and the Sixers are mostly off of everyone's radar. It would be some Dark Knight level stuff...

I won't pretend I haven't doubted Embiid, but that's what makes his potential here so massive. If Embiid were to lead this Sixers team to a championship, with the league being pretty dang competitive right now, it would compete with Dirk Nowitzki's awesome 2011 Championship with the Mavericks as possibly the best title run of all-time. Embiid already has an MVP...

Man, the thought gives me goosebumps but only time will tell. I've said so many times about 'what-ifs' when it comes to this Sixers team, and man I am hopeful.

Embiid and George will be back again tonight in what is a massive game against the heating up Charlotte Hornets. Kelly Oubre Jr. is likely playing and even Tyrese Maxey is questionable instead of straight up being ruled out which is interesting and surprising but positive news.

Tonight's game feels low-key historic. The Hornets are becoming everyone's favorite underdogs right now. LaMelo Ball is healthy and seems to be becoming a surprisingly decent leader, and Kon Knueppel is potentially the Rookie of the Year and is being labeled the next Klay Thompson or even Steph Curry with the way he drains threes. Of course they also have good talent in Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Coby White as well.

It's up to the Sixers to come into North Carolina and show up. Show this young and upcoming team that the Sixers are alive and well. It would be awesome to see rookie V.J. Edgecombe have a night and show the league he's up next too.

The Sixers are 40-33 and are the seventh seed. The Hornets are 39-34 and are the eighth seed. This game has serious consequences!

The Sixers better play like it's a playoff game! Let's go!
