Phillies drop two in a row vs Reds | Start four game series in D.C.
Well yesterday was rough! The Phillies offense, and the Phillies pitching was ugly for the most part. Cristopher Sánchez gave the Phillies a chance to win although he could have been better as a whole, but then poor defense and Jordan Romano happened again. Romano gave up a grand slam that put the game out of reach in the seventh. Yikes.
It's hard to really get too upset about these losses I guess. The Reds are far from a joke, and they need wins really bad compared to the Phillies. Plus the Reds were at home. So all in all I just think these losses were just how the cookie crumbled for the most part. The Phillies still hold a five game lead in the NL East after this series loss.
The Phillies will be in the nation's capital for a four game series so it would be nice to see the Phillies find their groove again against a struggling team like the Nationals. Feels like a good opportunity to jump right back into their winning ways.
Jesús Luzardo is on the mound to try and snag his 12th win. He's been better lately, let's see if he can keep it up tonight.
The offense needs to wake up big time as well!
