Phillies fall short in opening game @ Padres | Zack Wheeler on the mound tonight!

Yesterday's game was a bit of a snoozefest after their destruction of the Giants the other day. Not only was it boring but they lost 4-2. Wasn't high scoring, wasn't much of a pitcher's duel either. It was just one of those days. Nick Castellanos his his 12th homer and Kyle Schwarber hit his 30th! That's wild he's already at such a milestone. 30 is considered a powerful SEASON let alone half a season! Dude is a beast. Zack Wheeler hits the mound after his epic outing the other day, hopefully he can have another memorable outing tonight.

But yes, it's the penultimate game before the All-Star break. I don't know why but the All-Star break gives me melancholic feelings for whatever reason. Baseball is such a core memory and core part of me, and then you take into account time passing in general. I just feel sort of nostalgic and bittersweet. Independence Day just happened. We are right at the half way mark of the calendar year. Big holidays around the corner, NFL and NBA not around. With the All-Star break NO sports I care much about are around. The UFC helps a bit. But yeah, all in all it's a strange feeling.

Game's on now though, I'll just try to enjoy it.
