Yeah so the Phillies lost 2-1 to the Pirates yesterday. This is the second consecutive day they lost in Pittsburgh by this score. Losing 2-1 two days in a row is really pretty embarrassing. The pitching was getting torched for awhile, and now the bats have completely fallen asleep. The Phillies got swept by the Pirates for the first time in TEN years.

When your favorite team is breaking decade-long losing records, I think it may be time to panic about the team. Apparently I was mistaken yesterday and the Phillies have now actually lost nine of ten games. I can't even keep track of the losing!

Cristopher Sánchez held his own on the mound against superstar pitcher Paul Skenes but yeah, the Phils couldn't produce anything offensively.

The Phillies are quickly dropping behind the Mets in the NL East, they are now 4.5 games back. Somehow they are clinging to the last playoff spot in the wildcard race but just by a single game. Crazy!

The Phillies are back in Philadelphia today and Zack Wheeler makes his return as well as they begin their series against the Cubs. Maybe returning to Citizens Bank and the return of Wheeler can help give the squad the energy to find a win. We shall see. We'll need Wheeler at his best because the Cubs are a really good team. Much better than the Pirates!

Lets put this funk in the past, QUICK!
