Phillies have lost four straight... | Squad is in Toronto tonight + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 58

All of a sudden the once hot Phillies are looking ice cold. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but the team just hasn't been able to put it together as of late. These four straight losses have resulted in the Phillies losing their lead in the NL East to the Mets and frankly, slowly but surely the whole 'there's plenty of time left' excuse is becoming less and less valid. It's now June and the season is now over a third of the way completed. I don't know, perhaps I am slightly overreacting but this slide has got to stop soon and the Blue Jays are a pretty competent squad.

Sunday's loss was not the fault of the pitching staff either, which for most of this losing streak it was indeed the pitching staff's fault. Sunday's loss was mostly due to poor defense I'd say! Trea Turner can be rather sketchy at times over at shortstop and that's tough to see. The Phillies committed two errors and only managed to score two runs. Yikes.

Perhaps traveling north to Canada will help the Phillies sort of re-group or something. Cristopher Sánchez is on the mound and the weather is pretty ideal.

Also, Bryce Harper makes his return tonight! Let's hope he's actually ready to play though. Hopefully he took care of that elbow the best he could while he was out. Goes to show just how valuable Harper is after all these losses! Pitchers have to attack the lineup in a much different way with Harper around.

Life is so stressful and I am just so grateful to watch the boys play.
