Phillies lose in brutal fashion in Toronto... | Phils look to win series today + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 60
Well yesterday was a pretty depressing game for many reasons. The Phillies lost 2-1 right after ending their four game losing streak. Not only that, but they lost on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth. The team's more heavily used closer Jordan Romano is the man who gave up the run. Romano has been respectable enough with some rough patches here and there but yesterday was tough. I feel bad for the guy because it was against his former team and his usage rate is likely slightly higher due to José Alvarado's suspension. Just pretty brutal in many ways.
The Phils can win the series today in the series' final game. It would be nice to see the offense bounce back after wasting Mick Abel AND the bullpen's solid outing. Jesús Luzardo looks to bounce back after his absolutely awful performance in his last start. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back mentally after a game like that. He's been really excellent in pretty much every other outing.
Interesting game three today! NBA Finals later!
