Phillies lose series vs Angels, Red Sox in town tonight.
Welp, yesterday wasn't great. The Phillies pitching has been rough through these first three games after the All-Star break. Even in the game the boys were victorious the Phils pitching looked weak. The Angels scored an average of 6.33 runs a game against the Phillies, not a great number whatsoever. Ranger Suárez couldn't get through five innings before he was pulled, he allowed six runs on eight hits. It is just one start of course, but I hope Ranger doesn't repeat what he did last season, and start to struggle after the All-Star break. I'm not worried yet, it is a new season but it's still something to monitor.
Yes well, today the Red Sox are in town. The Red Sox are a franchise I respect a lot. They're my papou's favorite team. I remember the David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Johnny Damon, Nomar Garciaparra, Pedro Martínez, Jason Varitek team quite well. Definitely some core memories watching them play. The Red Sox are probably my third favorite team.
2003 was a long time ago though, I'll always have and enjoy those memories, it's 2025 and the Phillies are trying to create some new memories and some new magic! Zack Wheeler is on the mound to try and help the boys get back on track! The Red Sox have been a strong team in 2025, and are in a fairly similar situation as the Phillies in that, they're both very much in the mix for both their divisions and the Wild Card. Just two really good teams. This could be a World Series preview!
I'm ready!
