Well the Phillies played well for most of the series, but Carlos Rodón and the Yankees bullpen managed to finally quiet the Phillies offense just enough to avoid getting swept by the Phillies in game three. Turner, Schwarber and Harper went 0-12 in this final game which wasn't great of course. Never ideal for your three best hitters to go hitless.

Otto Kemp homered twice though which was awesome! That's a tremendous accomplishment by anyone let alone a rookie in Yankee Stadium! Kemp has really been solid as a rookie. The Phillies haven't had a ton of younger players do well lately so Kemp has been great. Nick Castellanos also hit a home run. Castellanos has been steady most of the year as well.

Christopher Sánchez looks to continue his excellent 2025 season as he faces the mostly struggling Chicago White Sox. Sánchez can get his tenth win tonight! Let's go!

Phillies won't play another NL team until August 11th so it will be interesting to see how they continue to compete in this league for awhile. The Mets continue to play well and hold a game and a half advantage in the NL East but the Phillies can surely still overtake them eventually.
