Well the Phillies are definitely in a mysterious funk lately and it's been a rough watch to be honest. The Nationals basically pulled a rabbit out of their hat and won the game late as the Phillies have often done in their recent victories. The Phillies had a chance in the top of the ninth when they had Max Kepler in scoring position but Stott and Turner both failed to drive him in. I guess it was suspenseful which was fun enough to watch.

As tough as these losses are, in my gut I don't feel insanely worried. It stinks the Phillies STILL haven't won their 70th game and it seems very unlikely they'll reach 100 wins which I was hoping they could somehow pull off.

The Phillies still hold a five game lead in the NL East over the Mets. In fact the Mets are seriously close to losing their Wild Card position! The Reds are right on their heels. While it would be kinda nice to see the Mets somehow lose their playoff spot, thinking about potentially playing the Reds in the playoffs feels a bit stressful...

Meh, one game at a time. I think the Phillies will find their groove soon. Phillies + Titans tonight. Rare times! The Titans will be playing many games in the afternoon come September and October and so my favorite teams playing together like this is pretty rare.

Zack Wheeler on the mound to turn this thing around!
