Phillies win in unique fashion yesterday in extra innings!

Yesterday's game was pretty interesting and competitive. It was a low scoring game but it didn't feel like a pitcher's duel exactly. The Phillies and Red Sox combined for fifteen hits but only scored a combined five runs. The game went to extras where after several walks in the bottom of the tenth the Phillies loaded the bases. Edmundo Sosa came to bat and he actually got the walk-off victory due to catcher's interference on a check swing! The Phillies won 3-2! I don't think I've ever seen a win come by those means! Wild! That's probably the easiest RBI and walk-off Sosa will ever experience!

Zack Wheeler struck out 10 batters for the 30th time in his career and looked pretty strong. Bryce Harper has been slugging like crazy lately as he recorded two more doubles. He looks ready to rock in this last stretch of baseball.

Cristopher Sánchez seeks his ninth win of 2025 tonight and secure a series victory for the Phillies. I forgot to mention that Alec Bohm is out for a bit since he's dealing with a fractured rib from getting hit by a pitch. OUCH. Bohm has been a consistent bat in the lineup and so other guys really need to step up. Stott and Kepler in particular need to start producing a bit more.

Game starts soon, the weather is perfect in the Philly area.

#GOPHILLIES!
