Phillies won an absolute THRILLER on Monday! | Aaron Nola on the mound for Game 2 @ Brewers!
The Phillies started off September baseball with a BANG!
Monday was a legit movie! Seriously! The offense on both sides just kept coming! It was inspiring stuff to see the Phillies actually lock in as they did against a top team. They were down early but bounced back from a four run deficit twice. Then the Phillies blew a few small leads themselves! The see-saw was stressful for sure, I'm just glad the Phillies came out on top!
To summarize every moment, this post would be extremely long! I seriously suggest watching the highlights in the link I created, it's a good time I promise!
It was so cool to see Harrison Bader and Brandon Marsh be a FORCE on offense! In the middle of the lineup these two combined to go 7 for 10, 4 RBI, with 4 runs scored! They also bring a lot of good defense in the outfield and good energy in the clubhouse! They are fun to watch on many levels. They aren't superstars but they're just seriously solid and I'm glad they're Phillies!

That win marked the Phillies 80th win of 2025! The Phils still hold a six game lead in the NL East despite the off day, love to see that!
Aaron Nola looks to make steps toward improvement on the mound. He's been going THROUGH it in 2025. The Phillies helped him out last week with that crazy 19 run game. Obviously he didn't need to pitch that well but he still looked ok and maybe that type of a game can help his confidence, even slightly. Perhaps September being here and knowing how bad the Phillies need him will help push him to greatness!
It's going to be really feel like autumn too! In Milwaukee, temps are expected to reach the 50's by game's end! NUTS. I know they have a retractable roof at their stadium. I'm unsure if they'll use it or what but either way I still think the vibes will be very fall-like!
September is one of the best times of the year. As a fan I'm glad that off day is over!
