The Machine NBA2K25 Career Pt. 22 + 🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎

December 6th, 2024 - Philadelphia 76ers vs Orlando Magic

The Machine and the Sixers played the Magic in Orlando in consecutive games and beat them in both contests! Pretty good stuff! It was an exciting game that went into overtime, the Machine and the Sixers really showed how clutch they can be. Yet again The Machine struggles to score but he keeps showing up in the assists category, this time reaching double digits with ten!

  • Teammate Grade: A
  • 6 Points, 4 Rebounds, 10 Assists

🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎

In the real world, the NFL season slowly approaches and yesterday was actually the first preseason game already! Wild!! Today I continue basically doing mini divisional previews and I've decided to glance at the NFC East as we head into this 2025-26 season.

The New York Giants look a bit messy yet again heading into this season. I think if they show a bit more patience maybe they can figure it out soon, but it seems that Brian Daboll is on a bit of a hot seat. New York tends to not have a lot of patience. He seems to be a decent enough coach but they have struggled to find a QB it seems. In 2025-26 they seem to have a reasonably ok, and interesting QB room, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Russell Wilson looks like he'll be the starter and while he's not the QB he once was whatsoever, I suppose Daboll could help in bringing the most out of the veteran. The Giants also have Jameis Winston, Tommy DeVito and rookie Jaxson Dart at the QB position. Dart was a first round pick this year and he seems like a decent enough prospect. I think it's good Dart is surrounded by vets and that the Giants are not throwing him to the starting position. The Giants have a lot of interesting pieces overall. A good head coach, great defensive line a respectable receiving group led by Malik Nabers who is a beast. The Giants could be an under the radar fringe wild card team who knows, but expectations feel pretty low overall.

The Dallas Cowboys are simply a pretty confusing team to me. They seem to fluctuate fairly often year to year although 2021-2023 was a pretty consistent few years. They remind me in some ways of the 49ers but, just not as good in the postseason. I think one of these years soon they'll make a deep playoff push, I just don't know when. I think adding George Pickens was a good idea, and if Pickens is locked in paired with CeeDee Lamb, that could be a great WR duo. They do have to figure out what they're doing with Micah Parsons soon as his contract situation is pretty mysterious. The Cowboys should be better in 2025 with Dak Prescott returning from injury, but with the Commanders and Eagles being seriously improved, it will be difficult. They should be in the mix for the most part though. I could easily see three teams in this division make the playoffs including Dallas.

The Washington Commanders should be really good, but I do feel weird about second year quarterbacks. Teams will not overlook Daniels and the Commanders in general in 2025. Jayden Daniels was amazing in his rookie season and I am less worried about mobile quarterbacks than I used to be but I'm still mildly worried. Also, Jayden is kinda like really skinny last time we saw him. So he is mobile but not exactly built like Lamar Jackson, or even Michael Vick. Daniels is a pretty good passer and maybe a bit more advanced than either of those two so maybe that aspect of his game will allow Daniels to continue to be great. But unfortunately star wide receiver Terry McLaurin just requested a trade and so that isn't great for Daniels and the Commanders. Also, while ownership has changed for the Commanders, they still don't have an awesome recent history of success so, I can't exactly be as hyped on this team as some people are. I have no clue what to think of this team going into 2025. Many people say they're obviously going to be excellent again but I do need to see at least one more season out of Daniels and this whole team.

The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be the only team I feel mostly confident in heading into 2025. Jalen Hurts is still a bit underrated, their entire offense is just stacked filled with potential Hall of Famers all over the place. A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley are just monsters and their defense is really good. I mean this team feels pretty flawless and their dominant Super Bowl victory in February only cements this opinion. The Eagles are simply a problem. Probably the best roster in the NFL.

The NFC East is one of the best if not the best division in football, I think the Eagles are certainly the favorite but of course everyone is a year older and every team is gonna bring their A+ game more than ever vs them. This should be a fun division to watch!
