The next NBA Legend is born... Introducing A.D. 'The Machine' Hammer!

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, this basketball standout A.D. Hammer, better known as 'The Machine' is really living the dream. After attending Villanova University located in the Philadelphia area, The Machine also was miraculously drafted by his hometown team the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 6'4" shooting guard/point guard weighs in at 208 pounds with a 6'7" reach.

His size and overall play style resembles players like Hal Greer, Austin Reaves and Collin Sexton. A pretty unique blend!

Here is the Machine's full NBA debut from 2024! It was SWEET getting to ring the bell.

Soon this trophy case will hopefully be filled with plenty of accolades!

The other day I was down in the dumps (what else is new?) and I sort of wanted to distract my brain a bit. Luckily for me, I had a few dollars and PlayStation had an absurdly great sale for NBA2K25. I was all over it.

Hardcore gamers often like to sort of criticize 2K because it's perhaps not as great as it once was and because of the very high rate of micro transactions or whatever. But still, I really enjoy 2K and compared to football and baseball games, 2K is still the King of career sports simulations as far as I'm aware. I was mindl blown as a kid how good this career mode was and, it still mostly holds up as excellent. Baseball has a few good options but, 2K is still much better I feel. I haven't played many hockey games though, maybe I'll try one of those games out someday.

But yeah. I'm really enjoying this career and I'll try to make a little story out of it the best I can. Pretend to sort of document The Machine's career and then maybe talk about real world basketball topics or whatever the case my be. I'll just have fun with it and see how it goes.

I used the 2K face scan which was a bit of a pain, and then, with help of ChatGPT I made a cool hybrid player. I collaborated with GPT to make a player with a size and skillset similar to a several players I enjoy, and I threw in my own size to make it slightly more personal even though I'm nowhere near an actual NBA player HA.

I asked GPT to keep in mind players like Jrue Holiday, Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler, and Tyrese Haliburton. In a world where I could be an NBA player, if I could somehow combine those talents, that would be super cool.

With yesterday's insanely epic Game 1 of the NBA Finals, I'm only more inspired to begin this little project here. Some posts will be more in depth, some may be more simple and basic. It is what it is I think this will be very fun. I think this will evolve beautifully. I have a lot of little ideas.

Part 2 is on the way! My left analog stick is quite wonky at times so if anyone does actually feel like watching and notice weird movements that is why HA.
