When a beggar met me!

Greetings friends!

I was going for work. I was waiting for the bus at the bus stop. There came a beggar. He asked me for money. I said, "You should be ashamed of yourself. You have a healthy body and mind. You can work somewhere and get money."

He said, "If you have money, please give me. Don't try to preach me."

He was so rude. I became angry. I said that I earn 15000 rupees a month. How much do you earn? Only a few hundred every month and live in a poor state. You should get a job so that you don't have to beg money in this way.

He said, "Do you know how much do I earn everyday? I earn two thousand everyday. I have a car, a house and a decent life."

He opened my eyes. I begged him to teach the art of begging but he denied. When I returned in the evening, I saw him changing clothes and then going in his car. He was not lying.

Yes, many beggars earn more than a regular worker. This is a reality. !LADY

Yes, Preying on people's kindness is certainly something people do for money. I see children in Manila who beg for money all the time. Some do it for their family to be sure, others do it for bosses who take the money to enrich themselves.

Taking care of the less fortunate is important but being ripped off by them isn't.

When in Canada I give to the church which offers food to those in need. I give to the Salvation army which provides food, shelter and medical care to those in need.

... but direct gifts ... I wish I could trust that it would be used wisely but I hear you about not giving directly.
