Hello everyone,
It’s another beautiful day to share my rendition here in the AfriTunes community, as part of the 176th edition. For this performance, I decided to do a mashup of two powerful songs: “Sarkin Yaki Ne Kai” and “Mai Girma”. Both songs are sung in the Hausa language, where “Sarkin Yaki Ne Kai” translates to “You Are the King of War”, and “Mai Girma” means “The Great One.”

These are gospel songs rich in meaning and spiritual depth. Mashing them up works beautifully, not only do the beats flow well together, but it’s also easy to transition from one to the other. I’ve heard several singers in different churches combine these songs during praise and worship sessions, and that inspired me to give it a try. I’m really glad I did, because the blend sounds amazing.

The first song, “Sarkin Yaki Ne Kai,” emphasizes the power and greatness of our God. Truly, He is the King of War and also the Prince of Peace. He is always ready to bring down anything that contends with Him. God never shares his glory with any man. Although he is a God of peace, he rises against the proud. As the creator of the entire universe, he alone is worthy of all praise and worship.

The second song, “Mai Girma,” also highlights the majesty of God. In heaven and on earth, there is none like him. This song reminds me of his unmatched greatness and why he deserves our praise. It ministers deeply to my spirit, and I hope this mashup blesses you as much as it has blessed me.
