Rising Star Meme #103 - The Case of a Gone-Bankrupt "Bakery"

meme103.png

Welp, here's the result of this silly "experiment" I did - whose results were revealed just yesterday after the new cards were added.

The Experiment (for those who don't know)

If you have been following my memes, you already know what I'm referring to (and you can skip this section). If not, here's a short description of what I did before I jump right into the results:

The thing is, I wanted to test one of these RNG-based games' "urban legends" and see how credible they are. To test it, I came up with my own idea (really, these urban legends are the production of mind lol) and tried to put it to the test. My idea was to "buy and hold onto the packs rather than buying and opening them right away". This would ensure(?) better rewards, so I bought 48 packs and refrained from opening them since last month's 22nd.

What Were the Results, I Hear You Ask

It was not anything outstanding, to put it shortly. To test the idea even further (and for comparison), I bought another 24 packs to see how the ones bought on the New Cards Day compared to the "baked", "processed" or "more refined" ones through the process of HODLing.

Turns out holding onto packs and opening them later doesn't make much of a difference compared to opening them right away.
It was a tough and boring week dry of any new cards and packs (and I kinda regret not having the fans for over a week, thus hurting my ROI).

A More Detailed View into the Packs

For obvious reasons, I didn't take screenshots of every single pack (that'd be tedious, y'know), so you'd have to take my word for it. The first "baked" batch of packs had only 1 Epic (the "keystar" or something - an instrument) and the good thing about them was the fact that there were a couple of Barber guys and Touring Coaches, which the next 24 (recently bought) packs ALSO had. So, my take is that it doesn't make much difference.

I don't feel at loss, since when we pass the 20th of every month, I stop getting any packs and start saving up for the new cards day.

A Piece of Advice and a Goal to Set

I'll keep it short:

  • Don't fret over these baseless experiments and have fun playing (there are more ways to enjoy the game other than worrying over "when" you get your packs and "how" you open them)
  • Opening so many packs at once is hella satisfying (I always do 12 at a time, and the most I have done is 24, but last night's 72 was another thing, like FUCKING EPIC lol, you might as well wanna give it a try - trust me, you won't regret it)...

Anyways,,,
Stay safe and stay away from baseless urban legends haha
Cheers~
