Rising Star Meme #13 - When to Quit?
I really hate it when someone asks that. Well, you don't really quit, you just might consider taking it easy and playing a bit less. Can't really blame them tho, at first when I started playing play-to-earn games, my judgment was clouded by the idea of "getting rich quick", which is not true unless you're risking big time, or are just lucky as F - which was not true in my case at all.
But I got to find this gem called Rising Star and I consider myself lucky lol.
Blockchain Games wave that "game" tag around and attract gamers, but once you dive deep enough, you realize these so-called "games" are not purely games... Well, yeah, you can treat them as games and have fun playing, but they all got this element of "market" and "trading" which benefit those who stay vigilant at all times and play around with more than the "game" element.
I could go on about this for days, but long story short, these "games" are more than meets the eyes and if you want to succeed in them, you'd have to find and snatch every opportunity you can get. And I don't mean just Rising Star, any blockchain game out there, or even life...
Absolutely true that these games are more about trading assets than playing. For me that's perfect. I just wish the rising star card markets were a little more liquid and transaparent. I picked up several 12 and 24 packs early on. My strategy now is just to keep doing the highest pay out gig I can and buy a card for 6000 starbits every few days.
Not sure if there's a better way.

Yea, liquidity is super important and it is getting better as the card limit is increasing each month since the player base is growing.
I think transparency is there, but well, not available to the not-so-savvy players or if you're not willing to go through some block explorer. I think better options will be available as Hive grows as time goes by.

I think your strategy is fine for the most part. I prefer going the extra step to earn a couple more bucks from trading/swapping and flipping here and there, kinda exhausting, but the engagement feels nice.
