Rising Star Meme #34 - All You Need to Know About EGO

Ego is one of the most genius mechanisms implemented in any crypto game I've seen so far. Rising Star is an imitation of the journey of a "Superstar" from the Start to... well, "Stardom", and just like how Ego can be one's demise in real life, it IS indeed a big threat in Rising Star's gameplay mechanics.

NOTE: I assume you have unlocked Ego by reaching Level 15 or 1000 Fans. If you haven't then this tutorial is of no use to you... yet!

How you gain Ego

You gain Ego in two manners

1. Fans' Ego: which is equal to your number of Fans (Permanent + Drunks)
2. Missions Ego: which you gain by doing missions daily

Mission Ego

This one has been a subject of confusion for a long time. Here's the clarification:

• You gain "Mission Ego" every time you complete a mission.
• This "Mission Ego" increases every time you do it on the same day - this is implemented to prevent the spamming of the same mission over and over again.
• Ego from Missions does not go away and is stacked in your account forever - think of it as a Fan that stays with you, gives you Ego, but does not increase your Max STARBITS gain.

"Base" Ego

To understand Mission Ego better, breaking it down could help a lot so here we go:

The Formula is as follows

Mission Ego = Base Ego + Extra Ego

Extra Ego

• That "Extra Ego" is what keeps increasing when you do the same mission over and over on the same day. (It is said to increase exponentially, and it DOES, but early on, it is not as prominent since the game rounds Ego)
• Once the clock hits 12AM, the Extra Ego gets reset and Mission Ego equals your Base Ego once again

Base Ego Notes

• Base Ego increases whenever you Unlock AND Do a mission from the next Area
• Base Ego increases whenever your Fan count increases - I don't know exactly how many fans for each point of Ego, but I've heard it is 10K Fans

Conclusion

It's not expected to fully understand how Ego works in perfect detail at first, but understanding which factors could and DO affect it is crucial to devising your own strategy and approach to the game.
