Rising Star Meme #43 - Guesstimating a Card's Value

These are not memes anymore lmao. I'm losing my grasp on what a meme actually is 🤣

ANYWAY, you wanna find out the price of your card?? Then come over here.
These are just some baby steps and not a definite way of pricing your cards, but they'd give you a general idea of what to do and also some clues on where to start from...

Here's what you need to do:

  1. First, find a similar card from the previous month(or months)* - It's better if they're not discontinued**
  2. Check the average price for it in STARBITS (SWAP.HIVE is fine as well, but they're usually overpriced)
  3. Put it up for sale for 0-5% less than that and it'll be sold in time (go for 10% if you're in a hurry)

Notes:

  • * If it's a "People" card, find one with the same stats (or around the same), and if it's an instrument, find one in the same category (Mic, Guitar, etc...)
  • ** Discontinued cards tend to have higher prices due to hitting their print limits. (or even while approaching their limit)
  • Cards are also listed for a bit higher at first, since some are willing to pay more for first few mints and not many is in print either.
  • Card prices fall mid-month because of some big bulk pack openers trying to sell theirs for STARBITS to buy more packs (this makes the best opportunity to buy the cards you want)
  • Prices could temporarily change if a whale decides to dumps a bunch of their extra cards or sweeps the market clean of any cheap ones, so watch out for that as well...

An Alternative Way

is to go to the #trading-zone channel on the game's Discord Server and ask for offers, there are a few good fellas over there willing to help as well.

Disclaimer

That's how I see things, but anything is possible in the crypto world, so do your own part of the research as well.
Also, this method works for Commons and Rares only (and Epics for the most part). Legendaries have too low print limits and are in a world of their own. People might even pay a fortune just for the luxury of having them, so I wouldn't dare touch that field as it is highly unpredictable.
