It's always painful to see these kinds of trades go through, no matter how many times you see them. It's either an incorrect currency symbol, missing digit, or even "butter finger" that causes these types of mistakes.

The Solution

Jux updated the in-game NFT listing interface so that it converts the STARBITS price entered to an approximation of it in HIVE using the market's feed, thus reducing the chances of any mistakes happening.

If you choose STATBITS, you'll see the approximation, so there's an even less chance of you entering the price incorrectly.

Plus, it helps you not forget setting the price symbol in a way, too. (As the approximation doesn't show up if you choose STARPRO or SWAP.HIVE as the symbol... so kinda helping the cause in a way)

You can also check the Market History to get a better sense of the NFT's current value.

Regarding NFTMart

With all these preparations in place, many prefer to use NFTMart to list, purchase and send their NFTs (as it allows managing your NFTs in bulk).

NFTMart doesn't specifically warn you if you have entered the price too low, nor does it show any kind of approximation of the price you have entered. So, whatever you enter is considered "correct" and will go through as soon as you confirm the transaction.

NFTMart's bulk-management utility can't be denied and my advice is to double-check everything before confirming - that's the only way to stay perfectly safe.
