Rising Star Meme #54 - To Craft or Not To Craft... Here's All You Need to Know
As you might have noticed before, there are two types of instruments in Rising Star despite their category and which Music Lessons they help with:
- craftable
- non-craftable
craftables are the ones you can get parts for in the "Custom Shop" and after getting 4 of those parts, you can craft them into a new Instrument NFT.
Both craftables and non-craftables are obtainable through pack openings so long they are not discontinued.
You might be wondering which one is for you, so here's a quick breakdown:
Non-Craftables (Basic Singing, Orchestral, Piano)
The very first Music Lesson unlocked is Basic Singing Lesson and uses Mic - a non-craftable. So new players are more likely to go for them. As for me, my luck has been giving me too many Mics that I've decided to stick with them.
Craftables (Guitar, Production, Drum)
These instruments can be obtained in two ways - craftables are also found in packs. This makes them ideal for end-game players/investors as you'd have more options to acquire them and wouldn't need to wait for new cards to be released to see if there's an instrument of your choice.
The downside, however, is that you'd have to spend 5-mins (and 1K STARBITS) to acquire a random part (4 of which are required to craft an NFT).
I'm not entirely sure whether or not it is more profitable to go this way and invest that 4K for an instrument as I have not tried crafting as of yet. Looking at it as an outsider, I can see that 5K can be spent to get a Rare instrument from the market that has 50 Luck - a lot more than the lowest you get from crafted ones (the lowest craftable has 12 luck).
There's some sort of gacha and RNG required to succeed in that part of the game - as is in any other part of them.
But, yea, that's pretty much all there is to know about them.
Chances are when you get to that part of the game where you spend 1K for every 5-min mission, you'd be earning far more doing regular missions which makes them less tempting, but I do suggest looking more into the instruments and taking into account the following points before going in:
- craft-ability (duh!)
- the number of instruments available for a certain category
- the level requirement to do that Lesson (it's the hardest requirement to fullfil)
- which instruments the whales are investing in
These should be enough to get you started and choose the one for you. That's all the important stuff I cant think of right now. I'd love to receive your feedback, so feel free to let me know what you think.
Cheers~~
