There's a certain mindset regarding Rising Star Cards.
You can compare investing in Rising Star cards to Powering up in Hive. Once you buy cards, you have "staked" (or Powered Up) your assets in-game and you can start receiving rewards based on your stake in the game.

There's no "Powering Down" period as is the case with the Hive Blockchain itself. Instead, your assets are a bit harder to liquidate compared to simple Tokens or Coins and you can get deals/bargains depending on your skills/timing or even connections.

The Power of Packs

As I mentioned before, cards in your possession could be regarded the same as HP in the Hive Ecosystem. What makes the whole deal more interesting is the RNG or the "Lottery" nature of the Packs! You can go ahead and buy cards off the market - the ones you most need, find cheap or even those compatible with your strategy.
BUT, there's the sweet RNG in which you can try your luck for this whole "Powering up" process. You could get a single pack, get lucky with it and get a super rare card and boost your progress much faster.
