Rising Star Meme #62 - So... What to Do Next?
Back when I started Rising Star, I was pretty perplexed as to what missions to do and in what order. I still am; however, I learn new tricks every now and then.
Getting the first and most basic mission pattern was the hardest and I try to explain it here.
Get Your Pizzas Sorted
Relying on the basic energy regeneration (which is 1% every 5 mins) is not a good idea. I plan on writing another article discussing the energy sources more extensively, but if you're not doing missions non-stop (or at least more than what the basic regeneration enables you), you're losing in this game.
The Patterns
I'm pretty sure that you've noticed that there are patterns to every area's mission's stats - the energy consumption, the time it takes to complete, etc.
It's a no-brainer that you can't deplete your entire 100% energy with a single mission - the missions that cost 100% of your energy always take hours to complete and you'll regenerate some energy for shorter missions during the mission.
The Usual Daily Mission Workabout
So, to play the whole thing 'efficiently'
- Do a 80% (1hr) mission and you'd be left with 32% which you can proceed to spend on two 5-min missions or wait 15 mins and do a 35% one
- Do a 65% (30min) mission and you'd be left with 41%. You can run a Music Lesson right after and a 5-min mission at the end. Or just distribute the 41% between smaller missions.
After this, you can have a slice of Pizza and repeat. the process.
Note: Not taking into account any mid-mission Coffees or Pizzas you find in-game, but relying on the base format - anything found while playing would work as a bonus.
You can see how having Pizza is vital for doing missions efficiently and having Pizza boxes relieves the need to buy more Cold Pizza Slices. Those smaller missions after the big one, give you a better shot at finding a Pizza Slice and repeating the whole process again.
My Strategy
Given the computer worm that I am (24/7 on my PC), I've got no problem managing my missions, but that's not true for everyone. Also, I got like 21 Cold Pizzas rn, so I don't have to worry about energy.
Nonetheless, I always do the shorter missions while having breakfast, taking a rest, doing minor tasks, etc. You can log into the game via your mobile phone so you'd have access to the missions on the go.
I do the longer ones when I go about my day and need to focus on my daily tasks (usually on the computer) and the audio after each mission notifies me when it's finished.
Careful
If you have too many tabs open, your browser might put some of them to sleep, so the timer might not work properly or the audio might not play. So it's a good idea to start a countdown timer whenever you start missions.
That's a good one!
What I do is usually go for 80%, then 20%, then wait 5 mins and do 15%! I also often leave my computer for longer so then I simply put up a longer mission and forget about the internet for a while.
!1UP
Yea, that's the perfect order I use most of the time.
Though after getting the excess pizzas, I started skipping that 5-min wait and going straight for missions to fit my schedule. That 5 min could be tedious if it were in the wrong time window 😅

I found it is necessary to save the mobile link login somewhere safe in mobile phone / note apps.
So whenever I want to login, just hit that link then I can pick my next mission and play Risingstar anywhere I can.
Yes! You can also use the Hive Keychain mobile app's built-in browser to log into the game. It's really convenient as well :D
