Rising Star Meme #75 - Don't Forget About Your Music Lessons!

meme75.png

I see this issue with many players - mostly new ones. They're usually staying at something like +20-30% Ego (sometimes even up to 70-80% even) and be complaining about how hard it is to keep Ego in control!

Well, there are a couple of ways to go about this problem. And they all stem from actually doing the due Music Lessons as there is NO way to play and progress in RSG without doing any Music Lessons.

Doing Music Lessons Daily

Obviously, in order to do Music Lessons, you'd have to have chosen a particular lesson and accumulated enough instruments. What "enough" means is dependent on your investment level and gameplay style.

Many players put doing daily Music Lessons into their schedule and do them daily (preferably 1-3 times a day) and that covers their entire Ego gain every day.

Note: I'd say that it's better to have enough instruments so that it DOES cover the Ego AND distances you from Ego for easier scalability issues, but that's entirely up to you!

Weekly Music Lesson

Well, this one is quite rare and I don't know many people who do this. But another approach to doing Music Lessons is to stack a TON of instruments and choose a day in the week to spam Music Lessons with no normal missions done on that day.

This way you can stack enough Skills to cover an entire week's worth of Ego without worrying about stepping into Ego and having decreased rewards for an entire week.

The downside, however, is that you'd lose on one day's rewards (Ego and Rewards reset of one day) so that's a bit out of preference.

What I do

is the former solution. I just stick with a couple of Music Lessons daily to cover my Ego-gain every day. I actually have got too many instruments that doing Music Lessons 2-3 times a day used to cover an entire week, but right now (after the initial Ego spike upon hitting 30K Fans) the 2-3 times I do the Music Lessons per day is only enough to cover a day or two at most!!

So it's always a good idea to have excess instruments of your choice!

It might now seem that you need it right away, but if you plan on expanding your account further and going for the endgame, then a couple dozen more instruments wouldn't hurt! It'd actually be more beneficial! You'd thank me later for this...

Stay safe and do your Music Lessons!
Cheers~

Yes! That's it. Everyone says to buy a single type of instrument, but I'm experimenting to see how having a wider range of instruments would look and how one can benefit from it.
Not to mention that even if things go south having a wider set of instruments helps in trading for the ones you need!

Do music lessons cost anything?

Do we pay starbits for the music lessons?

Nope, they're free. The only thing we 'pay' is the one hour spent on the music lesson!
Also our music lessons' 'quality' is determined by the number of lucks we have for that particular lesson, so in a way, that one hour's worth is determined by our pre-investment in instruments :)
