Only my personal opinion, but I think it's an appalling idea. 

There's no guarantee what they will do with the biometric data they collect (which apparently includes a lot more than just name, address and an eyeball scan). They might pass it to life insurance companies, your government or foreign governments, intelligence agencies, pharmaceutical companies, or anyone else who is interested in collecting, analysing or patenting biometric data.

Is your biometric data really only worth $50 of a crypto token which could decrease in value ?

I read their white paper. The one word totally missing from it was "ethical".

I totally agree with what you stated in your comment. I think Sam Altman is on a quest for something completely different from what we can find publicly ~ certainly not wealth. That kind of man does not seek wealth. However, for this he requires huge funds to continue his research and yes.... I suspect that in the end he will use that ethics that he keeps promoting with the help of ChatGpt, but in favor of those entities that you have exposed in your comment. The Worldcoin project has been around since 2018 but has stagnated until now - all the boost is due to its smart tool (ChatGpt). It is the main technological tool that gives investors confidence in its intellectual capabilities. !PGM !LOOLZ !PIZZA !MEME !HUG
