Interesting Fact: One Of The Ugly Incidences That Happened During The Colonial Era In Congo
This was one of the most wicked and barbaric acts recorded during the reign of King Leopold II king of Belgium in Congo.
The man in the picture above, unfortunately failed to make his daily rubber quota. As punishment, Belgian officers sliced off the limbs of his tender 5 year old daughter. This was not the end of the inhuman punishment.
The officers went ahead to kill and cannibalize the bodies of the wife and daughter of the unfortunate man.
Sad. So sad. But that's just the evils colonialism brought with it to Africa, which in my opinion overshadows all the good it accrued to the people living on the Continent.
