Confused About HBD's APR Change To 20%? Then This Is The WRONG Post For You

It has barely been a day since HBD's APR (Annual Percentage Rate. Yes, I just googled that) changed from 12% to 20% and people have split opinions. One camp thinks it will improve Hive and bring in investors, others think it will be bad. As for me, I have a completely different take. I have no fucking clue what any of that means.

image.png

I am telling you already, that there's no twist in the title. I have no clue what any of this means. Like, I know what everything means, but no clue what anything means, do you get me? I don't want anyone to take advice from me for obvious reasons.

image.png

Don't get me wrong! I really tried to understand everything going on, I really did. But all I got was further terms I needed to google like ROI, CR, CPU, NAV, HODL, and WWE. I am pretty sure the last one is a wrestling company. I tried to look like I understand.

image.png

But, it backfired. And I kept asking and trying to learn but eventually, I ended with two new terms: STFU and GTFO, which I guess have to do with urgent investment plans because both terms were followed with NOW!! But, I might be getting closer, all I need is no new information to process everything

image.png

The thing is, with all the people talking about it, I feel left behind. It's quite lonely at the moment.

Here's a breakdown of what I think happened

image.png

Admittedly, some steps are missing. I will leave those to your imagination. But, I give myself A+ for technically correct. Don't judge me, if you have limited knowledge, then you better use all of it.

The thing about is that I heard all the talk about Hive "skyrocketing" or "Hive to the moon" since before Hive even existed. And not exactly knowing what's going on, I can't get as excited as some seem to be and I don't want to be a buzzkill.

image.png

Especially with Hive users talking about it in such orgasmic terms

image.png

In the end, I know what I am going to do about it.

HEHEHE, I am totally you, literally understand nothing and I sold all my HBD a few days ago just to get a laptop 😀, but hey, I guess the 20%APR is a good thing for hose using HBD savings.

Great memes. 20% on HBD deserves all the kudos available. Thanks for sharing.

The only thing you have to know is that when you put your HBD into savings, you get a yearly return of 20%. So if you're going to save up HBD for example to buy something but won't need the money instantly and can wait 3 days until you actually have it, I'd say: start saving up. for every day you have it in there, you receive the interest (daily interest). You can claim it once a month though, so it will grow during the month in case you added more.

On a less serious note, loved the memes :)

This is good for all Hivers, especially for those with huge HBD and HIVE (converting them to HBD) looking for a place to park their funds with a substantial annual return. However, for small players like me, I would rather prioritize layer-two projects that give higher yields. I look at HBD as a long-term play and a way to protect one's fund during bear markets.

Hahahah. I actually felt the same thing when I read all these articles about APR & HBD. And I actually thought HBD stands for Happy Birth Day. I mean, why do they keep saying HBD? Whose birthday is it anyway? If you know whose birthday it is today please let me know so I could greet him.🤔🤔🎂

Raising the APR is and economic tool used by central banks to control the inflation and deflation happens in economy.
The principle is that when there is plenty of liquidity in the space ( which cause inflation), the central banks of countries raises the interests rates so that they invoke the greed in people, which eventually means investors money in banks which will reduce the liquidity in the market, and that's how they control the inflation.
As for the deflation, exact the opposite happens😎

Meme storytelling win, much win, I can't wait to assess my WWE by coding in something I learned from Leofinance and then collect my HBD gainz from the actual moon!

This post made me happy, and giggle, like at least 20% more than normal, you are awesome lol!
