If the reaction you choose is mad, well, I didn't have anything to do with that, it's totally on you.

You can try to blame me for your reaction, but unless you are willing to use violence, or I choose not to resist the untruth, the blame won't be sticking to me.

I've found that mad is generally a poor first choice.
In situations where your liberty is threatened, you don't want to come off your game with emotionality, be precise in your defense.
