The Daily Meme #305!

Some days I wish I had taken the time to read coding books rather than philosophical books.

It would make these things much easier for me.
I guess I'll just have to ask for help in their discords.

They are supposed to be coming out 'soon' with a simple few clicks installation, but the docker version is out, and I thought I would give it another try.
No luck, yet.

If I get it going I can earn tfuel for letting the node run on my computer.
Theta.tv is the proof of concept, but the edge node is supposed to pay better.

In other news, am I the only one not being able to copy/paste pics into peakd?
This thing has been plaguing me for weeks.

If you are having this issue, let me know in the comments, eh?

We need a linux edgenode community,...maybe somebody will step up and adopt us.

Thetaboard.io has an edgenode they let folks stake to, if you still want to stake your tfuel.

This is what I used. Confirmed works for me. The Folding@home protein folding initiative isn't exactly working properly right now so don't be alarmed if Edge Compute isn't pulling any jobs for that. You'll be using the windows version of Edge Node as this involves using Wine.

So, I ran the steps, but it is not working for me.
It says: Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine32:i386 : Depends: libc6:i386 (>= 2.28) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libwine:i386 (= 5.0-3ubuntu1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I'm using linux mint, if that matters.

Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu so it shouldn't be a problem. I have read that sometimes packages just install wrong for some reason. After reading up on the problem, you might try a couple things.

Start with this:

sudo apt udpate --fix-missing

then this:

sudo apt install -f

I saw on a Linux Mint forum that these repaired their broken packages despite the article being geared towards Ubuntu.

Hopefully this helps🤞

I kept getting critical errors from installing docker, it never did work for me, but I found thetaboard.io lets folks stake to their node.
