Yeah, I'm guessing I flagged somebody and this is what I get for fighting abuse.
I follow trails of people that like doing that kind of work, so I didn't even pull the trigger.
Years ago I was banned from the city's discord for refuting some lies that were being spread about me.
Apparently, I've again come into the line of fire.
C'est La Vie.
Retaliation for flagging is to be expected. The worse flagging comes in the form of bullying because someone or group simply doesn't like you for some reason. THAT is the type of massive down-voting campaigns (allowed) which seem detrimental to Hive's reputation and growth potential. Just ONE person/member leaving us from the standpoint of victimization, can harm us tenfold by telling their story, repeatedly off the platform. They easily can reach hundreds of eyes and ears, who in turn reach thousands... then, tens of thousands...
Being an immutable blockchain, if a member WAS truly bullied and prevented from collecting the rewards from others up-votes, the complaint is easily vetted by anyone in receipt of sufficient links to examples here.
Down-voting has its place under certain circumstances in helping to protect the reward pool, but should not be tolerated by the Witness' when used as a bullying tool. IMO
Yes, absent downvoting of abuse this all collapses years ago, imo.

I am againts downvote if it is for arbitrary.
If you ask, rarely does arbitrary come back as an answer.
I'd imagine one of the accounts I follow around had more hp than me so I was picked to be retaliated against.
But, without a response, who knows?
Someone here told me that he wanted to downvote me because he does not agree with my comments under someone else's posts. How silly it is and if he had much HP, who knows he might damage my account.
People get to downvote for whatever reasons they like.
When we get downvoted it is up to us to have enough support in the community to negate their downvotes.
Otherwise, we get voted out of the rewards pool.
This may not be the optimal way to run things, but it is what we currently have.
Up to us to change it, if we can.
