The Daily Meme #477!

If people can't keep a dollar longer than it takes for them to get somewhere to spend it, we don't need them on our team.
If you are powering down to dump, you are not helping.

The coders of this chain have given us a golden goose.
We mine it each day with our posts and comments.
If we let too much go to those that dump it, the price goes down.
If we keep it out of those hands, the price goes up.

Which do you prefer?

Let me know down in the comments.

Helping is not voting rewards to those people.
Helping is flagging spam, plagiarism, and over rewarded content.
This is your duty as a stake holder.

Do you like the top 20 accounts taking 50% of the rewards each day?

20 accounts.
There are ostensibly 1000's of us here, yet half of all the rewards go to those 20 accounts and the accounts they vote on.
They can't be bothered to help support the price with their curation.
Half the time they can't bother to check for plagiarism.
They are too busy supporting speech they agree with.
Not free speech mind you, just speech they agree with.

Even at the cost of the price going down.

Thanks a lot, greedy f**ks.

If we ever get back to 3usd it won't be because of you.

Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets that force us to pay them so they can play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
'Aint that fresh?'

Metal in your own possession will always have more intrinsic value than digits on a bankster's ledger.

What's so civil about war, anyway?

That is all, for now, you may resume your otherwise mundane day.
To contest the characterization of your day as mundane, make a post of your own explaining why your day is not mundane and ping me, eh?

Can I link to "The Terminal" Discord channel in our FAQ for the new Hive people we bring in? We do have some initial information. I would put the link with some text on this page: https://help.dollarvigilante.com/article/102-hive-and-the-dollarvigilante-tv-platform

Probably should ask in the room, they asked me to include them in my list and I did, but I don't spend much time there.
I get tied up in the anti-abuse rooms.
I don't see why they wouldn't take the free publicity.

What if they're experiencing financial hardship to the point they need to cash in on their assets to cover current costs. You can always buy back in

My response to this question always includes my own question, 'What were they doing for money in the month prior to finding us?

Yes, hive is a godsend for many of us, but if they squander what we give them how do they expect to escape their poverty?
We could give them a million dollars and they would soon be broke and asking for more.

It's an easy ask to not power down the powered up portion of what we give to folks.
Most people here only earn a few dollars a week, it isn't life changing money, yet.
Were the price to go to 10usd some lives would certainly be changed, but we will never get there by voting rewards to people who dump at .5usd.

Powering down and dumping is harmful to all of us.

it's ok if the price goes down, how else will I buy cheap Hive ? :)

Yes, it is a double edged sword.
I wish I had bought more at .15, but that isn't how it went.
Were the price to drop that low again it would really do a number on the morale around here.
We hardcore users wouldn't miss a beat, but all the speculators would likely dump feeding the drop even more.
This is why not voting rewards to paper hands is so important for the rest of us.

I'm more worried it won't go down enough so that it will reach my buying target ( 20 cents ) than going too low. Hive's price is holding surprisingly well, beyond anything I hoped for

I'm hoping for a spike in hbd to give hive a half price on the internal market.
It seems the easiest way to get a discount at this point.

I am always by side with powering up to a specific goal. I think it should be 5000 HP at least.

I agree that the stregth of the community is certainly NOT the priority of the greedy few, but what about trading internally.. HIVE for HBD as that value fluctuates?

Is holding HBD also supporting hive, or only staking HP?

Holding is good, trading is good, dumping is not good.
I keep waiting for a liquidity pool to pay a decent return.
Until then I just keep some fat fingered trades on the books waiting for somebody to get in a hurry.
