The Daily Meme #678!

Claim: No account holds more than 1% of the platform.

Thanks to https://hivebuzz.me/ranking for the facts.

6 accounts with more than 1% of the ~400m hive held in hive power.
This does not account for any hive these accounts hold on an exchange, so their share is likely higher.
image.png

At .5usd per hive these 11 accounts hold more than 250m hive, or 62% of the market cap.

Hive.fund is the dao, and not liquid.
Upbitsteem, binance-hot, bittrex, honey-swap are exchanges and therefore majority customer funds.
Leaving 6 known to not be exchanges accounts with about 10% of all hive among them.

I think it is safe to say that this claim has been debunked.

Please point out these facts to anybody persisting in this unfounded claim.

Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets that force us to pay them so they can play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
'Aint that fresh?'

Metal in your own possession will always have more intrinsic value than digits on a bankster's ledger.

What's so civil about war, anyway?

Hunter's song

That is all, for now, you may resume your otherwise mundane day.
To contest the characterization of your day as mundane, make a post of your own explaining why your day is not mundane and ping me, eh?

but also, aren't most of the BIG accounts, like OCD, made up of many hivers? (meaning they all delegate HP to em)

The curation gangs are all centralized for profit services.
They pay wages to their workers out of what they take from the pool.

If they want to finance their business they should make a proposal, taking from the pool pushes the smallest accounts out of any rewards at all.
The pool is intended to draw new users, not finance the schemes of large ones.

There is plenty of precedent to flag them out of the pool, but these surviving schemes have too much pull with the current ptb.

We forked to put an end to vote selling, but the largest account still does it with impunity.
Lots of other accounts point to that account and say that if they don't do the same, reap the pool for their own motives, then that account will only rake in more.

As long as the largest accounts stay ahead of the inflation we are pissing into the wind and hoping not to get our shoes wet.

ahhhh 😜🤑💰 ok, i thought they were just 'giving' to these. I did, when I started on hive.. I delegated a bit HP to OCD, but then I saw how they work.. I don't think they are serving anyone but themselves.. :(

I've been saying that since ned gave his posting key to curie because delegation hadn't been coded, yet.

Ganging up to increase rewards is bs, imo, but this is the primary option offered to newbs.
Insidious, iyam.
