The Daily Meme #690!

Now that paying for services out of the pool is an acceptable thing, https://peakd.com/@ threespeak/cluster-rewarding-node-setup-get-rewarded-for-pinning-3speak-videos, I am beginning to doubt my commitment to forcing content standards onto the rest of the folks in the pool.

Clearly, high levels of the 'not centralized' hive rewards pool have approved content rewards for whatever is posted because they want to pay for services and not content.

IF this is to be the case, I can't see forcing the minnows to comply when the whales thumb their noses at our customs.

I'm not saying this action is good or bad, it looks like it may be the future, but I am saying that flagging users for low effort content is hypocritical as long as node operators getting rewards for services is to be the custom in the hive.

If it is ok to vote any effort content to reward node operators, then to force content standards onto everybody else is bs.

'Good' daily content is hard, not for everybody to do.
Some of us are animals and can do it for years in a row, but most folks are not capable of that without repeating themselves a little too often.
To expect node operators to suddenly have time to put out 'quality' content, to get their daily node operating updoots, is not very realistic.

This is new behavior in the hive, I'll have to think about it, but the preliminary conclusion is that I have to stop flagging low effort content.

Let me state that it was not very fun while it lasted.

I may actually be glad that it has happened.

Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets that force us to pay them so they can play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
'Aint that fresh?'

Metal in your own possession will always have more intrinsic value than digits on a bankster's ledger.

That is all, for now, you may resume your otherwise mundane day.

To me, content which contains less than 250 words has low quailty.

How do you feel about a post with less than 250 words and a video that runs approximately one minute, what about three minutes or more?

I think such posts would be effortless and would not much attract the auidence.

Also, I think Vlog is not suitable for seven-days rewards.

I approve. Now I can upvote your posts instead of only your replies to my comments.

I'm already glad of it.

Thanks!

I suspect it may not be a done deal, nor equitably enforced.

I gota re-read their post again, but so far it looks like the person with the most money to support the strongest node, gets the biggest vote … a vote from HIVE’s shared reward pool?

If this is true, it sounds like a sophisticated “pay to get an up-vote” thing. I thought projects were expected to create proposals when they wanted financial support.
Is it unreasonable to ask each person running a node to create a proposal?

It seems our consensus that rewards should be given to 'good' content is not as ubiquitous as we have led ourselves to believe.

I really don't have a problem with 3speak doing this, as long as everybody else doesn't have to meet any standards, either.

I would still like to see it enforced on reposts and plagiarism, but as far as low effort content it should be the wild west.
Maybe @dbuzz will finally be acceptable as content.

:P of course.. why didnt I think of that.. just censor the ones who disagree..

and yea, i remember just starting, i felt like it was hard to come up with stuff to post about. now, its hard to LIMIT myself to just 1 or 2 posts per day..

You may not be able to write meaningful contents all the time
There are days when you will be lagging
It happens

There was no change in seven years for what was considered a high effort content, I am not surprised.
