Well, dear reader, what a day to be a hivizen.
Almost 10 years in and here we are still rehashing the same problems, over and over, again.
Seems like this social network was built for drama.

When we, the restivus, can coordinate more stake than the ninjaminer's (and ninjamine adjacent) stake, then we can call ourselves 'community controlled'.
Until then, there is no 'community control' to be had in the hive.
Don't let those that would fool you with illusions do that.
We will know our success when the hive on the exchanges has to come home to power up to keep us from forcing out those currently reaping us.
As you can see from the crosspost of a post from 6 years ago, these issues are not new.
They are not resolving because the restivus can't force them to resolve.
We don't have enough stake to force the witnesses to heel.
So, what we have is what we get until such time as we can organize enough stake to change things.
'They' say, 'Oh, there is sooooo much community stake that it is impossible for 'just us' to control anything.'
But, when was the last time that a witness took time to cultivate your vote?
They know which side of the bread gets the butter, don't think that they don't.
Why don't witnesses spend more time being personalities in the hive?
Because they don't have to.
Probably not because they would lose the votes that make them top 20 for becoming 'somebody' in the hive.
No no, that can't be it, at all.
Which brings me to you, dear reader, I know most of you don't want to get involved in these things, but there is one simple thing that you can do.
Go to settings and set everything to powerup 100%.
With the price so low, this is just good maximalist advice.
When you take the 50/50, hive is sold by the protocol at market price to give you the hbd.
In effect, you are shorting hive at a dime.
Stop that, eh?
You don't need the money from the hive.
IF you did, your time would be better spent working a real income producing job, hive was never intended to be full time employment for everybody.
Hive could do that, but not with the current management, for sure.
Nobody buys into a game that only pays the few.
Nothing can be done about that until the restivus have enough stake to force change.
This is just a fact of the math.
Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.

.I really do hope the power structure curves out and distributes more evenly but as it stands that would require large accounts to power down substantially as the amount of hive on the open market is not enough to get that to be a reality.
Yes, right now a rational power to price ratio is south of a nickel.
That could improve with some powerdowns, but that would likely spook the market even more.
We just need a group of folks that can drop a collective 1m usd to then use that stake to slowly grow the restivus.
They can hold their stake in their own accounts and simply delegate to whomever.
Or, follow on a trail.
I powered down before the price went down and sold it but behave bought back in. I am currently waiting on 10k blurt to power down to invest back into hive. I'm not listening to anyone else about how the market price is moving because it's irrelevant. I want equal distribution. And for dissenting voices to be seen and not shadow censorship to be stopped on the front ends and more refined to those who are actually causing abuse like scammers and not just because someone said fuck you to a whale.
