Cooperative societies don't have these problems because we deal with it as a society rather than delegate it to somebody that only cares about their paycheck.
The few bad kids get separated out and the restivus follow the path we find least resistant.
At the age of 20 one is expected to be working in the field of their choice.
By the age of 50 your contribution is complete.
~25k hours is the expected range of necessary work contributions in order to maintain the standard of living we currently have.
Why would people do this?
No rent.
No phone bill.
No electric bills.
No car payments.
No doctor bills.
No bills at all.
How?
By shaming the house builders when they can't keep enough houses to house everybody.
By shaming the phone workers when they can't keep the phones on.
By shaming the electric workers when they can't keep the lights on.
The car workers when there aren't enough cars.
The doctors for being greedy and only in it for the money.
Keep working, stop paying.
Train your replacement and retire at 50 to do as you please.
Here, the numbers may have changed somewhat, but the math is the same.
You have had it drilled into your head that crapitalism is the lord and savior we have all been waiting for, but, you would think, that waiting for all eternity would lead to exploring other options.
That happened.

No One would beset the children like that, and parents could spend Their time with the children, teaching Them and learning with Them, rather than having to foist Them off on someOne else to do that while They go plug Their energy in somewhere in the system to get the energy accounting tokens needed to survive.
Seriously, money is the motive in 99% of all unEthical behavior choices. Why would We want to retain such a tool when it is now archaic?
