A day of double delight: love and birthday bash

My heart pausated with joy and anticipation, well, why not? What did you hear about multiple celebrations? They are so much fun. When we have something to celebrate we are happy and filled with expectations but what of when it’s double celebration? Then you catch my drift. It was a beautiful Valentine’s Day morning. Well we all love Valentine’s Day. It’s a day of celebration and sharing with our loved ones.

The Valentine’s Day celebrations in our family is not just for celebrating Saint Valentine and sharing love, we also get to celebrate our very own precious sister in-law, my elder brothers wife. Well, you can call her sister in-love cos she’s an amazing soul with an open heart. Thank God to her kind of person, we are free to visit our brother and relax at home and be able to eat his money. That’s what happens when you have an Odogwu as an elder brother.

We all in our family used to catch fun when we make jokes about our sister in-love and her younger sister. We would always say thank God that our brother did not marry her younger sister, else none of us will be coming to his house or even visiting. That one doesn’t have a good heart and is always frowning and very stingy too.

Well, her sister who is our wife is very different so you see why we are excited about her. And to crown the whole Val’s day, it’s our sister in-loves birthday too. Woot! wooot!! So much to eat and drink and my elder brother of course does know how to deliver. Well, we wake up feverishly and excited preparing for the trip to the beach. It’s our sister in-loves birthday celebration and we are excited to tag along cos there is so much to unveil and so much to eat. Hmmm, who says not to good food? No one!

There was cake to be eaten, plenty of chicken fried and sauced, plenty small chops of different sizes and types, from spring rolls, to samusa, puff puffs and etc. there’s wine of different types and juices both fresh and packed. Rice and salads of different types and soft drinks too. It’s a family birthday and we are in for a treat. Well, to crown it all, we all going to the beach. Ohhh, how I loved to be wrapped around by the cold arms of the salty sea water. This always had me giggling like a baby like avoiding the salty water entering my eyes. I squeal in delight as the sea water splashes on me while sitting inside the water on its shallow ends. The experience was out of this world especially with my sister in-love around. She would always be the first to splash the water on me and then we start our dive into the salty water.

We arrived early enough to have a good sight to the lovely nature and the great expanse of water. The beach always excites me. I love to watch the water rage in its magnificence and break. We had to much time playing and I even rode on a horse for the first time. I had a good romance with the oceans waves and I ate to the best my little belly can carry. Fried rice, salad, chicken and all and also drank to stupor. Hahah. My stomach was bulging like that of a pregnant woman after the experience. Well, don’t blame me, blame Saint Valentine hahahaha. Then comes the unveiling of the birthday gift, the part we all love.

Well, I wasn’t able to get pictures because My phone was misbehaving and the memory was full and the phone was frustrating me. Part of the reason why I was excited was that I was expecting my brother to buy a new phone for his wife so that he could give me the one she was using. Well, my expectations were not cut short. He got her a new iPhone 16 and guess who got the other phone, yours truely. That was how I got my iPhone 11 PROMAX, 256 gig memory. What a beautiful way to close the fun filled day.

It was a fun day and the memories would be etched into my mind for a very long time. Last last families are the best.
