Not a deficiency

I stood looking bewildered at the dwarf man who stopped me on my way out going on an errand. I don’t mean to slight anyone as we all have our uniqueness in our nature but that doesn’t mean that the difference is not there.

Well, as a girl who have grown over time into a woman, I have had all types of men hit on me like every other girl has supposedly something we see everyday as ladies, so it’s no news. Probably seen the good, the bad and the ugly but I never expected to be hit on by a dwarf. I don’t mean to slight anyone but just telling my story after all dwarfs are humans too.

On this day, I was dressed and going out and he stopped me on my way and I had to stop out of courtesy while wondering what he probably wanted to tell me as I looked on him. His height was to my waist then when I asked how I could help and what he wanted, he began his speech.

He told me in all confidence that he likes me and he would want me to be his girlfriend. He said that he would take care of me with emphasis on as much as he can and that was when he began to tell me about his job. He was a cattle rearer and gets enough money to take care of himself ofcourse and maybe probably a girlfriend if I would agree to be one.

He then made a statement that small body is not a deficiency or a sickness, meaning that even though he is smallish of stature, that doesn’t mean he is not capable of taking care of me. He said that not once and while I was bewildered by the experience as I wasn’t expecting such, I really admired his confidence even though he was trying to use his money as a make up for what he called not a deficiency, that was quiet some audacity.

It’s amazing that even some normal guys don’t even have such audacity and confidence yet here it was in full swing. Well, I gave him my answer which was a no but he left quite an impression on me. I simply came to see that confidence goes along way to get people who may not ordinarily want to listen to you to listen. You know the saying that if a mad man is confident in what he’s saying even if it’s gibberish, that people would follow him.

Well, I don’t know if a dwarf has ever hit on you before but like he rightly said, dwarfism is not a deficiency, it’s all about how you see it maybe it’s been differently built and if your confidence is twice as much as your height, then it’s possible that one could get what he wants right?

While a dwarfed man is confident that he’s height is not a deficiency, I have seen men with good height and good looks shy away from approaching the woman they want. Hmmm, I don’t know who of the two is deficient. Maybe the one with no confidence even though he has more advantage. But what do I know?😁 I am only a babygirl.
