Soft life or some madness?

Soft life huh?
Some years ago there was nothing like soft life slang. It was something that evolved few years ago and I do not know what is the motivation behind it or what’s the intention for the person or the people that popularized it but with interactions lately with some people who are advocates of the soft life movement, it’s obvious where they are gunning at.

Before my relocation to the western part of our country, I didn’t have to bother myself with whether soft life was a thing or not but definitely with moving over to the West, I’ve come to see that it’s really something that is a way of life and people are definitely not smiling especially the ladies.

Men are not excluded but their this overly obsession with the soft life style that some ladies are not even cautious as to how they get the soft live. For all that’s worth living, they are keen on living the soft live wether good or bad.

I was interacting with one of them sometimes and she bluntly told me that she doesn’t want to suffer in life that Infact she’s for the soft life in her own words. She started goin on and on on how she wants to marry an Odogwu. Am Odogwu means a rich man who will I turn take care of her.

She continued talking about how she likes human hairs and as the time of talking, he has about fifty different types of hairs and wants more. So she wants to marry someone who would buy her hairs. Lots of them. Who would not stress her life and give here everything she wants. After all it’s all about the soft life.

She meant what she was saying and am sure she had her ways. She’s a very pretty, fair and tall lovely lady, so I guess her beauty would get her her soft life.

I sat down speechless and don’t even know what to say to her. I was only a listener. She rambled on and on on the type of cream she uses on her body, they are actually very expensive. Someone’s monthly salary and more. The type of clothes, shoes and of course jewelries were a pointer to the evidence of the soft life shed talking about.

What kind of advice am I supposed to give to this beautiful mistress of soft life? And she’s not the only one who loves like that. In my present environment Am basically surrounded by myriads of them. Ladies who eat out of expensive diners every now and then.

For about one year, I’ve not seen most of them cook. They don’t cook, they don’t clean. They don’t wash, they hire people to do all those things for them and they use expensive phones and all. Some of them date different mnmen just to meet up their standards of life.

Now you may think am exaggerating, thee are mostly students and then everyone and then, you see someone them dress inappropriately and leaving in the night and mostly weekends to God knows where.

They are all about living in comfort. Using expensive phones. Wearing trendy clothes and shoes and bags. Using bling jewelries. Eating from expensive diners and ordering off online every other day and ofcourse with a snobby attitude.

While some are using the soft life saga as an Avenue to lead hardworking lives, some have chosen to use it as a cheap means of living promiscuously and fend for their wanton appetites all in the name of soft life.
