Law And Order: Does Civil Law Covers The Right Of Animals?

Head in hand, I couldn't help checking my sanity to make sure what I heard in the wee hour of this Sunday morning was true. I couldn't help opening my mouth agape at what lies before my eyes. It could not have been real. Could it? Haha. Turns out it was.

Misplaced priority! That was my first thought on the news and my second thought was... It seems like we have gotten to a stage in human history where the animal kingdom needs protection by all means. Don't get it twisted, I'm an advocate for animal protection and I don't condone the unnecessary annihilation of animals.

However, there was nothing I could do in this situation since the court already decided. Haha. Now I wish I studied Civil Law to fight for the less privileged animals who have no one to fight for them. Thinking about this, I feel it will be good to add Civil Law to my C.V. since I want to take after the Nigerian reelected Governor swiftly known as "Jack Of All Trade". Tell me, what do you think?

Without further ado, let's see what the Nigerian Court in Kano, one of the 36 states in the country did when a complaint came in regarding an animal. You need not be surprised at the outcome as it is no news that justice is always nowhere to be found when an average citizen is concerned. In this case, the animal Is the average citizen. How sad. The animal kingdom seems to be in lots of trouble lately... Don't you agree?

I know for one you are craving the news already and the animal involved in this. Hehe. Calm your wetted nerves. We are getting somewhere.

Here comes the awaited news with screenshots from my phone to back it up.

Yeah, you read right what is shown in the screenshot. Poor Cockrel is been ordered to be killed because it exhibited the characteristic's measure of what it is existentially created to do. It is like a human killed for breathing. It was both painful but more comical cos I laughed for hours after reading the news. It is like a stipulated comedic event in my memory that I could not help laughing like it just occurred.

Anyways, this was the news I woke up to. But, on a more serious note;

"Is this newsworthy?"

Misplaced priority! The country is now fully a comedic station even for reporters. But who am I to complain? I am always happy whenever I read the news online. It pops my happy adrenaline and I couldn't help but be glad I found myself in this comedy country. Note this, there is zero sarcasm in what is been said now.

PS: Happy Easter Sunday.

Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave and more to those who chase it away.

Fortunately in my country in recent years there has been some progress in animal rights, but unfortunately it has been partly by force to deal with multiple situations of animal abuse.

That poor animal... It's crazy! It could then be said that it is an injustice not to be able to ask the same of the justice of my country about my neighbors who do not stop listening to music at full volume.

Thankfully your country is developing in this aspect.

Yes! It is more or less the same. It is just sad yet comical that a hen is charged when it can't defend itself.

I know we are living in pain but there are lot of things that's making me to love this country.

Just imagine Court, judging a matter that concerns an animal for exhibiting its trait. Nothing we no go see🤣

I was shocked when I heard the news.
With so many people waiting for trial, a court had enough time to sentence an animal
