For as long as I've had a Hive account, it's said in my bio "I'm in it for the tech". It's that way through bull markets and bear markets alike.

But lately, I've been more focused on the data ownership side of the tech interest, and we've really got some amazing tools on our hands.

Why is the data so important?

The whole purpose of the internet is DATA, and all data has some type of value.

Gather enough data and you can get paid!

This is something that tech companies have capitalized on for years and have built really nice fortune doing so. Outside of these companies' current fortunes, the value of data is evident in how much these tech companies fight to mine as much of your data as possible every second of your life.

Real web3 tools, if done well, are giving everyday people control of their data. Those companies don't want you to know this.

Using real web3 tools makes you their competition because its value makes you a boss. If you're the sole controller of your account via your keys on a decentralized platform, you have options and ownership, as the boss of your data, that other Web2 users don't have. If there's good governance and solid DAOs in place you're less likely to be blindsided by major platform changes without getting a vote first!

Your Web3 accounts can become a real value-yielding asset for you when you start taking back control of your data with real web3 tools.

Create some amazing data that only you can make!

The longer I'm in Web3 the more I get opened up to new skills, communities, and tools. Each community has it's own vibe with things to be learned form those communities.

Interacting with WAXFAM emphasized the importance of "Just make something cool" and creating in layers. My data doesn't have to be the best and most amazing thing that anyone has ever seen, as long as it's the honest best that I can produce, it will do well.

On Hive my content has gone from making tutorials and how-to's to just documenting my unique experience as a person in web3. I feel like the informational content did well and did what it was supposed to do, but the personal touch of documenting my experience has added a personal touch and has allowed me to connect with other people in web3.

Being a creator in this space is a journey. I'm a person that likes to play with buttons and experiment with life in general and web3 is an amazing space to do this digitally.

But honestly,

• Just start wherever you are, with whatever you can do.

• Keep learning, developing, and applying new skills to your creator skill set.

• Talk to some people a few times a week, feel their vibes, feel inspired, and share a story with them.

And you'll be creating some of the most uniquely amazing data that the internet has to offer.

In the digital realm it's all about the data!

The digital realm is all about the data we generate. Being able to get value out of that data is a skill set that may become an everyday part of life someday.
