How To Stop Worrying About Prices And Accept That You Are Going To Be A Millionaire (If You Don't Screw It Up)
I've been playing the crypto game since early 2016. Back then I wasn't aware of the potential crypto had and the impact it will have on me. Bitcoin was at around $600 and I really didn't see any good reason to invest the small money I had back then on magic internet money.
Looking back now maybe I was in my right mind not to spend all my money on it. I'm always very skeptical when it comes to trading and investing. I rather be a skeptic and be pleasantly surprised by the market than be overly exited and deterministic. Everyone I talked back then told me just to buy Bitcoin, sit on it for as long as I can and the real gains will come.
Of course I didn't listen.
We had these things called ICOs. And you could make a 10000% profit from some coins and respectfully loose all your money to them if you don't catch the pump. Guess what I did? Being the smart ass I am I've put almost all my crypto into altcoins, and then finally the bubble popped when BTC was at 20k. In my mind I was a millionaire. My portfolio went straight up parabolic and I finally felt like I've made it!
One year later, there I was, I've lost almost 80% of my portfolio because I had no idea what I was doing with that big amount of money, nor did I have any idea how to really trade it. ICOs were no more. After loosing almost everything I slowly started accumulating BTC back again. I took me one more year to accomplish my goal and accumulate 1 BTC. And finally I had it! I've been holding it ever since, and I stopped worrying about the price. All it took was just a little discipline.
As the years passed by more people started talking about crypto again. Whenever some friends gets into crypto (always during a bull run) I share with them my story. Most of them just think that this time is different, and that they are smarter than me and the market and the big gains are waiting for them. I guess that's how this crypto world works. It's everyone for their own. But if there is one thing that we can all agree on is that Bitcoin will trend up over time. So join the club before it's too late, stop worrying about price, and just HODL your BTC and maybe put some on altcoins just to make things more interesting.
