I still don't understand the social aspect of it. How does that work?

Well from a follower perspective people get notifications when people they are following buy stuff or sell stuff on FOMO or when the write a thesis so it can clue you in when big money is moving into something you didn't know about or get insight on why they are buying it.
Then seeing the areas where they bought and sold on the chart and their various updated Thesis and reasoning.
As far as exact percentages for content rewards and all that I don't think it's exactly disclosed but I think if someone owns more of a particular project and their Thesis becomes more visible and more people like it the more money gets allocated to them.
People start communicating and linking up on X and it really helps the teambuilding aspect.
Also there are clans like in gaming but i haven't joined a clan yet.
Oh wow, this sounds quite a bit more complex than I thought. I'm intrigued, but I just still haven't been able to bring myself to commit funds. I have been burned way too many times.
Well you don't really need to commit funds or do much of anything. Someone could just have the app and start to observe and poke around with it just to kind of see what is going on and how things are moving. Where money is flowing.
Or you could do that for a bit and then commit a few days blogging rewards from here over to there to get minimal amounts in play. Initially I got around $50 over there, then $100, and ultimately took a total of $450 over there and have traded up to over 10X in less than a month essentially. I didn't go heavy or anything at first. I was just watching the flow and it started giving me insight.
I have honestly been having more fun in crypto than I have had in years. This last cycle wasn't fun for me. There was a bit of fun in late 2024 but 2025 wasn't fun because we got faked out on really having an Alt SZN. Everything ended with a whimper. Now things continue to get pressed out but the underground trenches are heating up.
Getting on FOMO is like being invited into an underground rave full of mentally unstable degenerate crypto traders.
The other thing i wanted to mention is that i have earned $27 in rewards there in a month not really pushing or trying or even knowing content rewards were a thing and at this point i practically feel like I can't earn that in a year on HIVE, Steem, and Blurt combined after being on all this for 10 years.
People will say the power situation but everyone's power and influence has been so diminished that a lot of my autovotes i get are worth less than a penny.
I wrote a big reply to Daveks last night about my thoughts on Hive. It's really sad because it's really good. Ecency and PeakD and all this build out is really good. Tough to see it be a ghost town.
