A New Start to An Old Project

Hey everyone, long time no post as I have been working hard on the LOLZ Project. But as things have slowed down on the development front there, I have decided to re-start and re-brand my Project Rent-A-Deck.

The project is pretty identical to the old project, but as I have joined #thealliance as part of The Family Tree Birch guild, I decided to re-start it and give it a new name - Project Pimp My Deck or #ppmd.

Project Rent-A-Deck was very successful (I managed to climb to Diamond III) until the Splinterlands Moon happened and rental prices went absolutely crazy. But now that the moon has turned to a swoon, it looks like rental prices are pretty reasonable again so time to re-start this fun personal project.

The Goals

The primary goal of this project is to see how high I can climb in the Splinterlands leagues just from the HBD earnings of this series of posts by renting cards off the market.

The secondary goal of this project is to improve my deck by increasing the quest rewards as a result of playing in higher leagues.

The tertiary goal is to have something fun to blog about. After all, aren't we all looking for something to post about?

The Starting Point

My deck currently has a power of 23,000 which is enough to get me to Silver III.

The Strategy

I plan to sell all the HBD from this series of posts earns to generate DEC for use in the rental market.

I'm going to focus on building up a couple of strong splinters, probably fire and water. I also want to get a good Dragon summoner and some dragon cards too.

I will try and get the best cards I can at the lowest rate to maximize my power. PeakMonsters has made this easier a lot easier by adding compare function that will allow me to see the power per DEC a rental provides.

I plan to start out with shorter term rentals but if I find a great deal I will tie it up for a longer period.

I am interested in seeing how this goes. A few months ago, I would have been a little skeptical but the DEC price is going towards the peg and the rental market is cooling down so your strategy is more viable now.

Exactly. I was doing great w/ it for about two months and then the market heated up and rental prices became crazy high. Cards I was renting for a fraction of a cent per day were renting for a $ per day. Now that DEC has crashed I was looking at rental prices again and things don't look to crazy. Thanks for the support! !LOLZ
