The Mysterious Letter

Poooof, ahhhhhh....

That scent and puff/pop from a freshly sealed bag of coffee always just soothes my soul. I usually go for ground coffee but this was a special sale on a quality brand coffee that ive seen at my usual local organic shop. Whole bean, dark roast, organic, from South America. A brand ive never had, and since ive been pinching pennies, i didnt mind picking up a deal, to satisfy my urge for a tasty roast.

Grab my cup, a different one this time, ive used the Duck mug way too many times. Its a COFFEE, coffee mug, how suiting?

Time is here, its my usual time to settle for the day and make something to drink. This coffee has sat on my shelf the past week, since i picked it up. Get the ol' grinder out and bust up these beans. Not a second after it feels like somethings stuck...

A piece of paper....WTF?

Its crumpled up a bit, and reads...

Ive been stuck in the processing plant, in the depths of the Amazon jungle for 10 YEARS, surviving on plantain and chewing on these FORSAKEN BEANS!

What a way to go i thought, how can someone survive that long on such a bare minimum. 10 years is a long time in the grand scheme of things. Is it even possible this persons still alive? If i wasnt 20,000 miles away, maybe there'd be a way to investigate.

All of a sudden, a lump in my throat. There was a vacation i went on, 10 years ago. I used to love the thought of traveling to foreign lands. To see the beauty. To escape my reality, and to absorb the trees of the amazon jungle.

I did make that trip. Flew on a plane solo, to make an adventure that ive dreamt of. Somehow i remember landing, arriving to my destination, and taking the tour into the jungle. Deep where hardly any average humans have gone. Surrounded by the lush greens.

The tribes werent too happy to see me. I was kidnapped, and locked away. I look down at my coffee, and realize im just a ball of energy.

Because that mysterious letter, is actually from myself.....

The End, and back to reality

I ended it there, i hope somehow that story is kinda cool. Im at work tonight (no surprise), and i did make a coffee. A crappy Maxwell House again lol, but it does the trick and im quite sleepy.

Hope the Hive Family is doing well, even in these times where the market is getting crushed. All should be well, we've seen the bears swipe us down, but hopefully we can rise again, after we stack up some coins.
